UBP Secretary General V. Ahmet Savaşan, in a post on his personal social media account, stated that he visited the movie set of ‘Ayşe went on vacation’ and that this movie shed light on the struggle for existence of the Turkish Cypriot people and congratulated those who contributed to the project.
Savaşan, who is of Paphos origin, was born in Nicosia in 1977. He completed his undergraduate, graduate and doctorate degrees at Near East University. He conducted academic studies as an associate professor, organized more than 100 congresses and received awards. Having worked as a manager for 20 years, Savaşan served as the President of the World Health Tourism Council in 2023-24. Savaşan, who was elected as UBP Nicosia MP in 2022 and is currently UBP Group Deputy Chairman, contributed to nearly 100 legislative studies. Savaşan is married and has one child.
